Vince Freeman is one of the UK’s foremost exponents of guitar led song writing, He has made waves across the world after gaining residencies in New York and Parisian clubs, gigging with the likes of Newton Faulkner, James Morrison and Paolo Nutini, He has also recently taken on a very interesting tour of his own – all due to popular demand.
Dubbed the ‘In Your Living Room Tour’ it is the result of hugely successful previous tours that have ended up leaving many fans out in the cold due to the sell out shows. In order to try and reach every fan he possibly could, the idea of playing up and down the UK in their living rooms proved very popular and the dates came rolling in.
Vince decided to perform one of the shows in Crystal Palace for charity in October of 2007. The charity was Breast Cancer Awareness and formed part of one of their ‘In The Pink’ days. Like all the other dates, Vince showcased tracks from his new EP ‘Songs Without Shoes’.
The popularity of the tour has meant that Vince has had to ‘”go virtual” in order to reach his entire fan base. He has performed a live set through the web site Second Life (http://secondlife.com) which allows users to hear and witness a 3D interpretation of his actual gig. In doing so, he follows in the footsteps of artists such as U2 and Duran Duran.
